Nubia: Jewels of Ancient Sudan From the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston covers 3,000 years of kingdoms that flourished in Nubia (present-day southern Egypt and northern Sudan), a region rich in sought-after resources such as gold and ivory whose trade networks reached beyond Egypt, to Greece, Rome and Central Africa. This exhibition features jewelry, metalwork and sculpture exhibiting the wealth and splendor of Nubian society.
