The Majlis: A Meeting Place is a traveling exhibition inspired by nomadic architecture and designed by internationally acclaimed bamboo architects Simón Vélez and Stefana Simic. It explores the origins of the majlis structure and the artisans, craftsmen and specialists who have become part of its history. To reflect the communal experience of a majlis, there are workshops, public lectures, a garden showcasing Qatar’s flora, and Qatari artists who practice the local tradition of al-Sadu weaving.
