King Abdulaziz Historical Center, Wadi Hanifah and JAX District,Riyadh,Saudi Arabia
Noor Riyadh 2024 creates a vibrant dialogue between art and technology, turning the city into a living, luminous canvas. The theme of the light festival “Light Years Apart” explores the profound relationship between Althara (the earth) and Althuraya (the sky) and how we journey between the two, moving from our present circumstances to our highest aspirations. Curated by Saudi artist Effat Abdullah Fadag and international curator Alfredo Cramerotti, the festival features 60 large-scale artworks such as sculptural installations, immersive experiences and projection mapping, and welcomes visitors to engage with both traditional and modern interpretations of light and creativity. It is one out of four projects launched by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City for Vision 2030. King Abdulaziz Historical Center, Wadi Hanifah and JAX District, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, through Dec. 14.
