Saks Afridi SpaceMosque

Aga Khan Museum,Toronto,Canada

Saks Afridi: SpaceMosque presents a speculative narrative by multidisciplinary Pakistani artist Saks Afridi, exploring a mysterious global event at the turn of the millennium. Through recovered artifacts, sound and archival fragments, the work reconstructs reports from multiple cities where collective prayers were believed to have been answered. At its core is the appearance of a shifting, otherworldly vessel—imagined as a spiritually conscious gateway—that blurs the boundaries between technology, architecture, memory and faith. Aga Khan Museum, Toronto, October 1 to March 30, 2027.
