From the series, How Iraqi Are You?, by Hayv Kahraman, Nabog reflects on the artist's childhood in Iraq and lasting cultural traditions that shape stories of belonging. The installation transforms personal memory into stunning contemporary painting. The title refers to a jujube tree remembered from Kahraman's childhood garden in Iraq and to a nursery rhyme about sharing fruit. Inscribed beneath six interconnected figures, the verse evokes themes of generosity, reciprocity and community. Aga Khan Museum, Toronto, through February 2027.
